FULL-TIME
CANCER REGISTRAR
The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute, a Northeastern PA based non-profit
community-based network working to address the challenges of cancer in
Northeastern Pennsylvania, is seeking a cancer registrar for its rapidly
expanding Regional Cancer Registry. The cancer registrar identifies, abstracts
and follows-up on all registry eligible cancer patients in accordance with
standards set by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer and the
Pennsylvania Cancer Registry.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates should possess strong verbal, interpersonal, written and
organizational skills as well as knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
RHIA, RHIT, CCS and/or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) is preferred. CTR would
be required within three years of hire.
Education Qualifications:
Candidate must be a Certified Tumor Registrar or have a minimum of an
Associate’s degree in an allied health field.
