In our 10 county area, 1,115 cases of colorectal cancer are diagnosed and 392
deaths occur each year.
In Northeastern Pennsylvania, the incidence rate for cancers of the colon and
rectum (colorectal cancer) is 17 percent higher than the average US rate for
this cancer site: a statistically significant difference.
